Isabel Morrison

I am a qualified person-centred psychotherapist accredited by the UK Council for Psychotherapy. I hold a Clinical Diploma and an MSc in Contemporary Person-Centred Psychotherapy and Applications from the Metanoia Institute in London.

As well as private practice, I work as a therapist for Focus Counselling. I also have several years of experience working in community-based counselling services across London, supporting clients from diverse backgrounds to work through a wide range of issues.

I am fully insured and abide both by the UK Council for Psychotherapy’s Code of Ethics and Professional Practice and the BACP Ethical Framework. This includes regular supervision of my work and ongoing professional development.

There are many different approaches to counselling and psychotherapy. Trying to make sense of this complicated landscape to decide what type of therapy might suit you can feel overwhelming. I hope the information provided here will give you a sense of how I work, and I am happy to answer any questions you may have.

I believe that what matters most is how you perceive your inner world and understand yourself, so we will work at the pace and depth you choose. My intention is not to analyse or advise you, but to listen to you and accompany you with genuine sensitivity and acceptance in your exploration of your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. This can help you to feel less alone and might help you to make sense of what is happening in your life or support you to make positive changes. The focus of the sessions is entirely up to you, but whatever you choose to talk about, I’ll listen and support you to decide how you want to go forward.

I work with individuals over 18, and we can work together online or in person. Before you commit to meeting with me, I suggest booking a free 15-minute introductory phone call so you can see how talking to me feels. This will also allow you to ask any questions you may have. You can reach me by phone or email.
