I am a Psychotherapist working in Bath and Frome, and I have recently completed six years of training at Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling (BCPC). I have had my own psychotherapy practice for the last four years, and I am UKCP registered.
My training is in ‘Integrative Psychotherapy’ which means I draw on theories that link our past experiences with how we are in the present, but also work very much in the moment, supporting you through your current situation whilst building and strengthening your own ability to be healthy in yourself and your relationships.
I welcome an introductory session during which we can both talk about how we may like to work together. We can talk about your reasons for seeking therapy and what you feel you would like to gain from the process. We can also chat through what sort of commitment is required, how it works and any other questions you may have about myself or the process of psychotherapy.
What I can offer you is a safe, confidential space to explore, accept and heal. I value individuality, honesty, integrity, finding your own way, connection, and relationship. I believe that by choosing to talk to a therapist, you have taken the first step toward empowering yourself to find answers, and towards creating movement and change in your life. I will guide and support you throughout this process.
The issues that people bring to psychotherapy are unlimited. Nothing is off limits, at least for an initial discussion, and if I can’t help, I will try to signpost you to someone who can.
Here is an example of some of the issues I work with:
- Anxiety
- Bereavement
- Complex trauma
- Depression and Post-natal depression
- Eating disorder
- Identity
- Low self-esteem and confidence
- PTSD
- Sexual and physical abuse
- Sexuality
- Stress
- Suicidal thoughts
- Trauma
- Women’s life transitions – sexuality, motherhood, menopause
